The mission of Barnabas Task Inc. is an expression of compassion to transform communities by equipping, empowering, and encouraging. In 2013, we proudly supported Barnabas Task with a donation of medical diagnostic equipment used to treat members of the Cien Fuegos community, train volunteer community health workers, and empowering the community through preventative healthcare education.
“This educational emphasis is an effort to bring influence to medical professionals who do have access to continuing education like we do in the United States. We also facilitated a night just for ladies called Noche de Damas. More than 850 ladies came to this event, which has now been facilitated for five years. On this night, we honored the CHE trained mothers and brought Health Education teaching.”
“We work with Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra (PUCMM) students who serve as translators for the Barnabas Task teams. They provide excellent translation, however our teams provide the ‘hands on’ experience that they long for.”
The donated blood pressure cuffs and stethoscopes were gifted to these students and they plan to donated the remainder to CHE trained (www.chenewtork.org) mothers and nurses who have received one year of education as nurses.
” We are so grateful for the tangible gifts you have given us that can be used to rich many more people in health assessment.” – Tom Hinton, Founder of Barnabas Task, Inc.
