Bon Secours Memorial College of Nursing

The team from Bon Secours School of Nursing traveled to Domond, Haiti to provide free healthcare to the community and surrounding areas. One of our MDF teammates, Micheal Barron, had the good fortune to travel with this team and assist with the medical relief efforts. The team provided 3 separate day clinics in 3 locations. They saw over 500 patients each day, ranging from infants to elderly, providing healthcare, vision care and dental hygiene education. The team was also able to provide over 500 pairs of glasses to people with impaired eyesight. Bon Secour was especially grateful for the donation of scrubs from Landau Uniforms. These scrubs allowed them to stand out as medical professionals, which was very important and reassuring to the patients and local community members of Domond. The team left these scrubs at the Bon Secour Mission House in Domond, along with the MDF equipment, so that future teams are fully prepared and local community members will always be able to recognize the Bon Secour medical teams.
