In May of 2013, HACC Gettysburg took their inaugural medical relief trip to Ouanaminthe, Haiti. Their team consisted of only thirteen nursing students and two faculty, but they had big goals. They offered free health care clinics in a local school, and nursing home. Their passion for medical relief has only been enhanced since they returned from Haiti as they plan to make this an annual medical relief effort.
We are proud to have supplied HACC’s inaugural team with medical equipment to provide screenings during clinics. After their stay in Ouanaminthe the team donated this equipment to the local practitioners whom they assisted.
