The Haiti Mission strives to provide for the general welfare of Haitians in the Grison-Garde, Tovar and Latannerie Haitian Communities in northern Haiti. The Tovar clinic, opened in 1985, provides healthcare to 60,000 people in Grison-Garde. The clinic is staffed by Haitian Doctors and Nurses year-round, providing continual care for patients. Volunteer medical teams from the U.S. work out of the clinic four times per year providing. Comprised of doctors, dentists, nurses and other non-medical volunteers, these teams provide many health services that the people of Grison-Grande would not received otherwise.
In 2012, we proudly supported The Haiti Mission Foundation and the Tovar clinic with a donation of stethoscopes, blood pressure monitors, reflex hammers and other medical diagnostic equipment that is used year-round by the Haitian doctors and nurses a well as the visiting U.S. volunteer medical teams.
