In January 2015, University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee College of Nursing took their inaugural medical relief trip to Kenya. The goal of UWM’s project is to provide HIV and general medical care to the communities they serve. The students worked with nurses and health care providers at the Migwani District Hospital and Health Center in Mwingi-Kitui County, the Kenyatta National Hospital, and the Mathare Psychiatric Hospital providing medical relief to the community.
We are proud to have supported UWM’s first mission to Kenya with a donation of medical diagnostic equipment. They’ve already planned another trip for the beginning of 2017 and they will be bringing specific MDF Instruments to each of the facilities they work with.
